What Camp Yale Was All About

At Camp Yale, we offered outdoor educational experiences and retreats for young people in a 30 acre wooded park setting including a state of the art 20 element low ROPES Challenge Course, 50-foot Climbing Wall, 450-foot Zip Line, two ponds, trails, and more. Over 7000 students and counting from elementary school through college age have experienced higher education – outdoors – at Camp Yale.

Our professional facilitators guide your young people in a customized program of team building, leadership development, and outdoor education including hiking, archery, fishing, tree identification, and an authentic “living history” experience highlighting 19th century tree cutting.

We also host youth camping retreats on-site. Our facilities include rustic cabins and shower facilities as well as a shelter house for picnics and several campfire pits. For those not wishing to “rough it”, we have two excellent lodging facilities nearby including The Winchester Guest House Inn B&B Resort & Conference Center and the Randolph Inn & Suites (under construction). Both have indoor pools.

We are located just south of Winchester Indiana on US Highway 27 – just 25 minutes north of Richmond, Indiana and 25 minutes east of Muncie, Indiana. We serve educational and non-profit youth groups in east central Indiana, west central Ohio, and beyond!

Camp Yale was originally founded as a facility to educate young people about the values of teamwork and to develop leadership skills among our youth – and that tradition continues today
